Last week I had my yearly physical along with blood work. You may all remember that last year when I went to the Doctor I was ordered to loose the weight and so the day after that appointment was my first encounter with Cindy at CrossFit. The next few months included doses of both CrossFit and BootCamp.
I wanted to share with all of you the blood results that came in yesterday.
Weight-- (2008)- 258 (2009)- 188
Blood Pressure-- (2008) 150/80 (2009)- 110/69
Cholesterol-- (2008) 178 (2009) 163 (-15 points)
HDL (good cholesterol)-- (2008) 40 (2009) 58 (+18 points)
LDL (bad cholesterol)-- (2008) 113 (2009) 91 (-22 points)
I have done some combination of all three BTB nutrition programs. The key is finding what works for you. I have been the most conformable somewhere in the Paleo/Zone combination. But have also always found room for the IHOP Zone while on the road.
The key to the success to these numbers is simple, follow the program to the best of your ability, surround yourself with an amazing group of supporters and friends who at the end of the day all agree that nutrition no matter how its achieved and working out are the keys to living heather. And never forget that if you fall down along the way get back up and dust yourself off and finish the WOD.
