This page is where you will find the growing collection of our favorite recipes.  All of these recipes have been either collected from or sent in to us from a variety of performance minded sources.  All of these recipes fit into our nutritional philosophy at BTB.  Some may be a bit more of a "treat" than others, but all use only whole food sources.  If you are adhering to a strict paleolithic style diet, be sure to read all ingredients to make sure the recipe fits into your plan. Most of them should.

Ingredients:

  • 1lbs, 2lbs, 5lbs of carrots—depends on how much you want to make
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Black Pepper , Garlic powder and Paprika to taste
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Clean carrots as you normally would.  Cut carrots in half and from each half begin cutting carrots into about ¼ inch thick sticks (or fries).  Coat carrot “fries” with EVOO and seasonings.  Place carrots on baking sheet and bake carrots for 45 min-1hr (depending on your oven you may want to play with temperature and/or time).  I prefer them crispy –tastes just like sweet potato fries!  These are addicting-try and limit consumption as carrots are a bit on the high side of the glycemic index (a couple of numbers below sweet potatoes).   Enjoy!
