This page is where you will find the growing collection of our favorite recipes. All of these recipes have been either collected from or sent in to us from a variety of performance minded sources. All of these recipes fit into our nutritional philosophy at BTB. Some may be a bit more of a "treat" than others, but all use only whole food sources. If you are adhering to a strict paleolithic style diet, be sure to read all ingredients to make sure the recipe fits into your plan. Most of them should.
In the mood for Beef, Chicken, Tilapia? Save some time and use the search module and type in a specific ingredient that you like.
1 package of ground lean sirloin 1 package of ground turkey meat (You will brown these first, drain and place at the bottom of Crock Pot) Add Spaghetti Sauce (I like Trader Joes or Whole Foods sauce because there is no sugar in them) Add Tomato Paste to thicken Chop up a ton of broccoli, green peppers, onions, and mushroom (I use a ton) Add Italian Seasonings and Garlic to taste
Let it sit all day, stirring occasionally! Then, steam broccoli and cauliflower and poor the sauce on top! Another good option is to pour over steamed spaghetti squash or kelp noodles.
Approximate Zone Info: 1 block PRO per 1oz meat, 1 block CHO per 3 oz tomato sauce. Add EVOO for add'l fat and taste @ 4 blocks per tablespoon
