This page is where you will find the growing collection of our favorite recipes.  All of these recipes have been either collected from or sent in to us from a variety of performance minded sources.  All of these recipes fit into our nutritional philosophy at BTB.  Some may be a bit more of a "treat" than others, but all use only whole food sources.  If you are adhering to a strict paleolithic style diet, be sure to read all ingredients to make sure the recipe fits into your plan. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Cut the greens away from the beets, leaving about 1/4 inch of stems. Scrub the beets and place in a baking dish (or lidded ovenproof casserole dish). Add 1/4 inch of water to the dish. Cover tightly. Place in the oven and roast small beets for 30 to 40 minutes, medium beets for 40 to 45 minutes, and large beets for 50 to 60 minutes. They are done when they are easily penetrated with the tip of a knife. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the covered baking dish. Cut away the ends and slip off the skins.
