This page is where you will find the growing collection of our favorite recipes.  All of these recipes have been either collected from or sent in to us from a variety of performance minded sources.  All of these recipes fit into our nutritional philosophy at BTB.  Some may be a bit more of a "treat" than others, but all use only whole food sources.  If you are adhering to a strict paleolithic style diet, be sure to read all ingredients to make sure the recipe fits into your plan. Most of them should.

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 1-1/2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 4 oz. can diced chilies
  • 4 oz. sliced black olives
  • lettuce

Top with: salsa,  fresh chopped cilantro,  1 avocado, 1 tomato

Directions:

Mix cumin, oregano, chili powder and onion powder in a small bowl. Saute ground turkey and onions in a frying pan. As ground turkey is browning, add spices and mix well. Add in diced chilies and olives. Stir well and simmer for about 5 minutes. Turn off heat and let turkey mixture cool slightly.

Serve on a bed of lettuce. Top with some avocado, tomato, and salsa!
