This page is where you will find the growing collection of our favorite recipes.  All of these recipes have been either collected from or sent in to us from a variety of performance minded sources.  All of these recipes fit into our nutritional philosophy at BTB.  Some may be a bit more of a "treat" than others, but all use only whole food sources.  If you are adhering to a strict paleolithic style diet, be sure to read all ingredients to make sure the recipe fits into your plan. Most of them should.

1 large Spaghetti Squash

1 large can stewed tomatoes or marinara sauce (make sure it is just tomatoes, olive oil, basil etc.)

1# ground turkey breast, bison, lean ground beef (aim for grass-fed stuff)

1-2 cloves garlic chopped

1/2 onion chopped

Start with a little EVOO or coconut oil in a hot pan.  Saute your garlic and onion until tender, add meat and cook thouroughly.  While cooking, stick your squash in the micro for 1-2 mins.  Remove and carefully cut it lengthwise.  Scrap out the seeds.  Place the squash on a plate with the shell facing up and the meat of the squash facing down into the dish.  Add 1/4-1/2 cup of water to the dish.  Place the dish in the micro and nuke for 8-12 mins depending on the size of the squash.  When done, carefully (because it is hot), use a fork to scrape out the spaghetti squash.  It looks just like spaghetti and tastes much better.

Once the ground meat is fully cooked, add your marinara.  Let it simmer til the sauce is warmed.  Get creative and add some fresh basil or hot pepper seeds to taste.

Plate up the spaghetti squash, top it off with your meat sauce and enjoy!  Add a side of brussel sprouts and you are one full person!
