This page is where you will find the growing collection of our favorite recipes.  All of these recipes have been either collected from or sent in to us from a variety of performance minded sources.  All of these recipes fit into our nutritional philosophy at BTB.  Some may be a bit more of a "treat" than others, but all use only whole food sources.  If you are adhering to a strict paleolithic style diet, be sure to read all ingredients to make sure the recipe fits into your plan. Most of them should.

Ingredients:

  • ·       1 whole roasting chicken
  • ·       1 lemon
  • ·       Fresh rosemary
  • ·       Salt and pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Salt and pepper the inside of the chicken. Pierce the lemon with a fork and place inside the chicken along with 1 or 2 sprigs of rosemary. Place 1 sprig of rosemary along each breast between skin and meat. Bake breast side down for 45 minutes. Turn the bird and cook until done (times may vary depending on size of bird). If the skin starts to brown too quickly you can cover with foil for the remaining cooking time.
