I call it Adobe Sauce.
So, way back when we started all this Paleo stuff, Julie gave me a recipe for a yummy sauce on a post-it note. Since then, I have made it probably close to 100 times. As silly as it sounds, having a few sauces up your sleeve (like this one or chimmichuri), can make your Paleo journey much more tolerable and actually incredibly enjoyable. We have since added the Adobe recipe to the CF Logbook and some of the downloadable docs on the BTB45 page. If you haven't tried to make it yet, why not give it a shot this week?
I am going to give you a few different levels: Super Easy, Easy, Easyish.
Super Easy:
1/2 can of Chilpotle Peppers in Adobe Sauce
1/2 cup Olive Oil
Blend in a Magic Bullet or Blender.
Apply to steak, chicken, or eggs. It rocks.
Easy:
Same as above but squeeze 1 orange (or add orange juice - about 1/3 cup)
Seriously good stuff.
Easyish (and the original recipe from the Post-It):
1/2 can Chilpotle Peppers in Adobe Sauce
1/2 cup Olive Oil
1 clove garlic
some cilantro (a handful)
juice from 1/2 a lime
Blend. Apply to meat. Sometimes I use this as a salad dressing for a taco salad. Super yum.

PS - the Magic Bullet should be a required ingredient. Charles got me hooked on this, and while I would never ever not even in a million years give up my food processor, the Bullet ROCKS for things like this sauce, chimichurri, quick salad dressings, some chopped nuts, and it is so much easier to clean than the larger devices your kitchen has. Costco had them on sale last week for $30 something.
AND, they come with cups that have handles on them, so you can do a frozen margarita too. Not that anyone needs anything frozen right now...
I've done a variation to the easyish. I used white onions instead of the garlic b/c I was out. And it was damn good as well. I used about 1/2 a cup of sliced up onion. Not good for the breath though.
If anyone is looking for a great tomato soup recipe for this cold weather, I made this one today and it was awesome!!!
