BTB FAQ: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are answers to some of the questions we get asked most often. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at (404) 688-0100 or info@btbfitness.com. We'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

I have a medical condition that limits my physical abilities, can I still participate?

More than likely, yes. By scaling load and intensity, our programs can be adapted to fit your limits and still help you reach your goals. But you must notify us of your condition, and, as with any physical activity, please be sure to consult your physician for proper approval.

Is there a certain level of fitness required to enter the BTB Fitness™ Programs?

What's most important is your willingness to become fit. If you think you can then we know you can. Our programs are attended by everyone from marathon trainees to motivated brides-to-be to people who have never worked out before in their lives. We do recommend each student be able to sustain a light jog for 10 minutes.

Will I be tracking my physical progress throughout the program?

Yes. All programs offer:
  • Pre/Post Body Fat Percentage testing
  • Pre/Post Weight analysis
  • Pre/Post Biometric measurements
  • Pre/Post Physical Fitness Test

BTB Boot Camp™ clients are formally evaluated at the start and conclusion of each 30 day session. Participants in the BTB CrossFit™ program and BTB Personal Training™ can request testing at any time. We offer V02 Max testing at our facility.

In addition to tracking physical fitness progress, we encourage (and in the BTB Boot Camp and BTB Personal Training programs, require) clients track food/drink consumption, record how you're feeling each day and set goals to achieve during each four-week period. BTB Boot Camp and BTB Personal Training clients receive a log book as part of their program package. For BTB CrossFit clients, we keep a notebook at the gym with a page for each client to keep track of their workouts.

What if I need to miss a workout?

BTB CrossFit clients purchase monthly memberships at our gym, and BTB Personal Training clients purchase a block of sessions. If you want to see maximum improvement in your physique, strength or endurance, you should plan to complete CrossFit sessions or meet with your personal trainer at our gym 4-5 times per week. To simply maintain progress, do a minimum of 2 sessions per week.

BTB Boot Camp clients are expected to attend every workout (18 workouts in a 30 day session, with "homework" on days we do not meet as a group.) However, we understand that illnesses, travel, and unexpected obstacles occasionally pop up. We offer up to four make-up days the week following your last day of BTB Boot Camp. We do ask that you email your lead instructor to inform him/her of your planned absence. And beware that an unexcused absence will cost your fellow BTB Boot Campers extra push-ups!

What do I bring with me to each workout?

Positive energy! A great attitude is the one essential tool. Other than that, you'll want to wear comfortable, seasonable workout clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. A good pair of running or training shoes goes a long way – and increases your safety. Bring a towel and a couple bottles of water to help hydrate you throughout and after the workout.

What if I can't commit to month-long schedule?

  • The BTB Boot Camp Lite program allows you to spread one month of sessions over a two month period. This program is only available for BTB Boot Camp Basic veterans.
  • BTB CrossFit and Personal Training clients choose their own workout schedules. For maximum improvement, you want to plan to work out with us at least 4-5 times per week. To maintain progress, work out with us a minimum of 2 sessions per week

This "military-style boot camp" and "high-intensity, short-burst cross training" talk is scary. Will I be degraded and humiliated?

"Private, what is your major malfunction!?" ... Just kidding. We get this question a lot and the answer is always: Absolutely Not. In fact, the exact opposite is true. We're here to inspire, motivate and encourage you to a level of physical and mental satisfaction you never knew possible. And besides, our scientific studies show that the best abdominal workout is ... laughing.
