Here's a bird's eye view of the 1-mile loop that Mark setup for us this morning. Nice job everybody. I heard some good split times this morning. Lots of folks kept those splits within about a minute. For the couple of folks who couldn't make it this morning, we did 3 runs of this mile loop, with a 3-minute break between each run.
Fight Gone Bad Fundraiser
This Saturday, there's a big fundraiser being put on by Crossfit gyms all across the country. The Atlanta area gyms are all getting together at the Marine base up in Smyrna. I'd highly encourage y'all to come out to support and cheer folks on, and even to do the workout if you're so inclined. It was a ton of fun last year. Some of the highlights were watching a crew of firefighters do the workout in full turnout gear and then seeing some of the Marines do the workout in full combat gear, body armor, etc. plus gas masks. And even if you can't make, think about making a donation for this great fundraiser.
Also, one of BTB's own- Brad Davis (Poncey gym) would like to share a story with you guys. Check out THIS ARTICLE to read the obituary of one brave soul. This was Brad's Brother in Law who was one of the SEALs who lost their lives in the recent helicopter crash. If you would like to make a donation towards Brad's FGB efforts, you can do so HERE. Additionally, if you would like to help out with the family, you can donate to the Navy SEAL Foundation "Jonas Kelsall Fund", 1619 D Street, Bldg. 5326, Virginia Beach, VA 23459. Brad wants to thank you all for supporting the FGB cause. He is proud to be associated with such a great group of folks.
